Fire-rated Steel Rolling Shutter Door The fire-rated shutter curtain is made of factory-finished steel with a thickness of 1.6 mm, while the guide rails are constructed from 3.0 mm thick steel. It is designed to provide fire protection in designated areas or to stop the spread of fire, preventing it from reaching other sections easily.

The fire-rated rolling shutter operates with an electric system. Its main functions include:

  • Fire-rated Rolling Shutter – Heat Detection System The fire-rated rolling shutter is equipped with a heat detector. In case of abnormally high temperatures, the device will activate and release the motor brake, allowing the shutter curtain to automatically descend and close off the fire area.
  • Fire-rated Rolling Shutter – Fire Alarm Integration The fire-rated rolling shutter can be connected to the fire alarm or smoke control system. When activated, the shutter will automatically descend to close off the fire area.
  • Fire-rated Rolling Shutter – Switch Control The fire-rated rolling shutter is also equipped with a switch for manual opening and closing.
  • Finished with factory-applied powder coating.

Operation in Case of Power Failure

Manual Operation (Spring System)

The rolling shutter is manually operated, with a spring mechanism that balances the weight of the door, making opening and closing more convenient. The spring system is suitable for shutters with a maximum width of 4 meters and a maximum height of 3.5 meters. The average door weight should not exceed 120 kg per shutter. For doors wider than 4 meters, it is recommended to divide the shutter into sections, each no wider than 4 meters, using a removable center column. Additionally, a hook may be used as an accessory to pull down the shutter when it is opened to a higher position.

Chain Operation

The rolling shutter is manually operated by human power, opening and closing vertically through a chain hoist system. This system is suitable for doors of moderate size, with a maximum width of 7 meters and a maximum height of 5 meters. The shutter can only be operated from one side; therefore, when closed, users must exit through another door or by installing a small wicket door at one corner of the rolling shutter.

Motor Operation

The rolling shutter is powered by an electric motor, providing convenient operation and remote-control access. The motor is also equipped with a built-in chain hoist, allowing manual operation in case of a power failure. The system is designed to support shutter weights of up to 2,500 kg.
